“Great beach access; food at onsite restaurant was good; bed was totally uncomfortable and did not sleep well, and room smelled super musty/moldy.”

“Staff was very nice to us. The sheets could have been nicer. They have a tendency to pill. Since the weekend rate is higher, it would have been nice to have a little upgrade on the breakfast may be nicer danish. Very clean pool was great right on the beach.”

Everything was very clean, and compared to other hotels in the same price range, this place offers excellent value for the money. I would definitely stay here again. “Solid choice in Kill Devil Hills. Location is right on the beach with direct access. Nice pool for a change of pace after the ocean. Breakfast was fine. Within walking distance, or a short drive, to several shops & restaurants. Reception staff was very helpful and professional. Room was large with a balcony and view of the beautiful ocean. Only slight criticism is some of the grounds and building exteriors are looking a little worse for wear but that won’t stop me from going back!”

“The room was beautiful, albeit tucked away in the woods. The amenities were unavailable due to rain. I was unable to get an answer from the staff as to why an indoor pool was closed from rain outside!!”

“I've stayed here several times over the last few years. The only negative thing I can say is the sliding patio doors are all difficult. Probably something to do with the salt air? Last night, the elevator went out...not good for 3 aging women with bad knees & lots of stuff to take down to the car. But it was working this morning.”

“ You could not seen the because of the shape of the one-story motel, but the beach is maybe 300 feet from the backside of the motel. The swimming pool was warm, and pleasant to float in. The parking is first come, first serve, and I felt save at the motel. I would recommend Dolphin Oceanfront Inn to anyone looking for a quiet beach setting.”

“Ma che brutto questo posto!!! Le foto del motel riprese dall'alto ingannano, così come le foto delle camere, sono proprio brutte; appena si entra si sente odore di muffa, il condizionatore fa freddo ma non toglie l'umidità e inoltre fa un rumore infernale. Siamo stati tre notti in questo posto e non hanno mai fatto le camere, cambiavano solo gli asciugamani. Bagno minuscolo. Pulizia da migliorare. Porta di ingresso indecente così anche quella specie di portico con due sedie un vaso con sabbia...

“Hotel con accesso diretto alla spiaggia e con un ampio parcheggio. Bella piscina Camere ampie e comode anche per 4 persone. Durante il nostro soggiorno di 4 notti non hanno rifatto le camere come durante il periodo Covid. Colazione abbondante e varia. ”

The only downside was the shower—it was quite small. It was just large enough to stand in, so it might feel a bit cramped for bigger guests. “The noise from the highway was noisy and the kids in the other room were loud and stomping on the floor, breakfast wasn’t what I expected, just cereal, coffee, juice.”

“Early and easy check in. Bed is what you expect for a cheaper property. Not high quality but good for a night or two. Only reason not 5 star is the older man in a red polo who worked there walking around and staring down guest. Spoke with another person staying and we were making jokes he was staring us down as we had our morning cigarette outside.”
